Requirements

Investment
Applicants can choose from two programs based on their needs:
Investor Visa Program:
- EUR 1 Million Donation: Non-refundable donation in projects of
public interest in Italy (culture, education, ecology, immigration
management, research and development, arts and heritage). - EUR 2 Million Investment: Minimum investment in Italian
government bonds. - EUR 500,000 Investment: Minimum investment in Italian shares or listed/publicly traded shares or funds (reduced to EUR 250,000 if
investing in innovative start-ups).
Elective Residence Program:
- Stable Income: Suitable for individuals who can prove a stable annual
income from abroad. - Minimum Income: Proof of minimum passive annual income of
EUR 31,000. - Accommodation: Proof of accommodation in Italy.
- Additional Fees: Application and due diligence fees apply.
Process (3-4 months)
- Timeline: Application process takes an average of 3-4 months.
- Preparation and Payment: Prepare the application and pay all associated
fees and costs. - Submission: Submit the application.
- Residence Permit: A residence permit is granted for 2 years (permanent
residency possible after 5 years if the applicant has relocated to Italy). - Interview and Approval: Upon interview and approval, pay the balance of
investment, government fees, stamp duty, and other fees. - Final Residence Permit: The residence permit is granted.
